CEO - Ubuntu Co. Ltd

JOY LADU is the CEO of Ubuntu Company Limited, a women-led agribusiness founded in 2017 in South Sudan. Ubuntu supports farmers in Central and Eastern Equatoria by adding value to maize, sorghum, and shea butter while improving market access and providing seeds and tractor services. Joy is leading the “Magwi Maize Production Capacity Building Project,” supported by a USADF grant, to address production and transport challenges. The project includes building a storage facility, purchasing milling equipment, and offering agronomy and financial training. Joy is committed to enhancing food security and improving women livelihoods through sustainable agriculture.

YOAL DOMAI DAR

CEO-GYPAT

YOAL DOMAI DAR is the CEO of Gezira Young People Agribusiness Trust Co.Ltd(GYPAT), established to boost incomes for maize farmers in Central Equatoria. Since 2012, Yoal has led GYPAT’s growth, including juice production and cafes in Juba. Through the “Gezira Maize Milling Marketing Expansion Project,” he aims to overcome key challenges such as limited capacity, energy supply, and access to equipment. With USADF support, Yoal is working to expand maize processing and provide critical training in agronomy, finance, and cooperative management. His work is empowering youth and advancing agribusiness in South Sudan.

MAGRET STEPHEN

CHAIRPERSON - MWDA

MAGRET STEPHEN WANI is the Chairperson of Mangalla Women Development Association (MWDA), which began peanut paste production in 2018. Under her leadership, MWDA procures peanuts from local farmers in Central Equatoria to address food access challenges in remote areas. Magret is leading the “Peanut Paste and Cooking Oil Marketing Project” to expand production, improve quality, through the generous support of USADF with technical support from FYI . Despite limited capital and equipment, she is focused on strengthening storage, transport, and training. The association’s work is transforming MWDA into a force for food security and women

economic empowerment.

ELIZABETH MANYIEL

BUSINESS MANAGER - WFC

ELIZABETH MANYIEL is the Business Manager of Women Finance Company Limited, a women-led initiative based in Renk County, Upper Nile. Founded in 2015, the company now supports over 780 women through savings, loans, and sesame farming. Elizabeth manages sesame buying, processing, and value addition to produce paste and cooking oil. She is leading the “Sesame Production Capacity Building Project” to expand storage, upgrade processing equipment, and strengthen management through training with funding from USADF. Her work promotes women financial inclusion and agricultural development, improving livelihoods in one of South Sudan’s key farming regions.

Hellen Jogo is a South Sudanese entrepreneur and the founder of Honey & Bee Production Co. Ltd. Established in 2020 with just a single jerrycan. Driven by a vision to create a sustainable livelihood, her enterprise gained momentum through the support of the Muchinga Partnership and the Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI), which provided essential training, mentorship, and startup capital. This support enabled her to expand operations and transform her small-scale idea into a promising business.

Today, Hellen is focused on building one of the region’s leading honey brands, grounded in values of resilience, independence, and self-worth. Her journey serves as a source of inspiration for young entrepreneurs across South Sudan, as she continues to promote local enterprise and

empower others through her example.

Founder - Besmart Inter Technology Solutions

BUOMKUOTH JUNDI BOTH is a South Sudanese technologist, educator, and entrepreneur committed to empowering youth through digital innovation. Founder of Besmart Inter Technology Solutions, it is ICT training and consultancy firm based in Juba, South Sudan. He is a two- time awardee of entrepreneurship programs supported by the Haggar Foundation and Muchinga Partnership, with technical support from the Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI). These recognitions have significantly boosted Besmart’s growth and impact.

With over seven years of experience in information technology, GIS, and disaster data systems, Buomkuoth has trained and mentored hundreds of young South Sudanese in practical tech skills, including data analysis, cybersecurity, mobile computing, system security, website development, and networking.

Gili Moses Jackson is a South Sudanese entrepreneur and founder of McGILMO, a facility management company providing high-quality support services across multiple sectors. His business growth was fueled by funding from the Haggar Foundation program in partnership with the Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI), enabling expansion and creating youth employment opportunities.

Beyond business, Gili leads the Jubafest Initiative, which

promotes South Sudan’s cultural heritage through arts and culture. Committed to economic empowerment and national pride, he leverages entrepreneurship and creativity to build a resilient, united South Sudan, driving

sustainable development and social cohesion across the nation.

Buom Kobuong Gatduop is a South Sudanese entrepreneur and the founder of Green Gate Enterprise, a social business dedicated to producing high-quality peanut paste while promoting economic inclusion for people with disabilities.

With crucial support from the Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI) and the Muchinga Partnership, Buom successfully scaled Green Gate Enterprise to broaden its impact across South Sudan. His work exemplifies how entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for social transformation and sustainable development.

Through Green Gate, Buom has created income-generating opportunities by actively involving individuals with disabilities in every stage of production from processing to packaging. His commitment to inclusive development reflects a broader mission

to foster resilience, dignity, and equity within marginalized communities.

PENINA WISELY KULA

founder - B&P Enterprise

Penina Wisely Kula is the founder of B&P Enterprise, a Juba-based business specializing in the production of liquid soap, bar soap, and shampoo. Her entrepreneurial journey began during the COVID-19 lockdown after receiving soap-making training in Kampala. Motivated to empower her community, particularly women, Penina established B&P Enterprise to provide skills training and quality hygiene products.

With support from the Haggar Foundation in partnership with the Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI), she successfully expanded her operations. Today, her enterprise promotes sustainable livelihoods and serves as a source of inspiration for women and youth across South Sudan.

CEO - Hustlers’ Hub Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd

Baang Riek is the Founder and CEO of Hustlers’ Hub Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, an innovative agribusiness transforming South Sudan’s food sector. With a mission to modernize food production and empower youth, Baang leads efforts in food processing, job creation, and skills training. Hustlers’ Hub was founded with support from the Foundation for Youth Innovation (FYI), in partnership with the Haggar Foundation, which enabled Baang to scale operations and deepen community impact. Today, he continues to drive sustainable growth and economic inclusion, equipping communities to build a resilient, food-secure future for South Sudan.

Chairperson - Fangak Multipurpose Cooperative Society (FMCS)

Pajuan Nhial Deng is the Chairperson of Fangak Multipurpose Cooperative Society (FMCS), a community-led initiative focused on the dry fish business to boost food security and local livelihoods. A second-year Economics student at Upper Nile University, Pajuan leads with vision and coordination, ensuring smooth project execution. FMCS was established with funding from Muchinga Partnership, in partnership with the Foundation for Youth Innovation (FYI), enabling it to expand operations and create sustainable economic opportunities. Pajuan works closely with the director to manage projects effectively, remaining dedicated to driving community development and economic resilience in Fangak.

MAWICH TUDEL GOLONG

BUSINESS MANAGER - (ZMCS)

MAWICH TUDEL GOLONG is the Business Manager of Zeraf Multipurpose Cooperative Society (ZMCS), which supports 881 smallholder sorghum farmers in Fangak County, Jonglei State. Since ZMCS’s registration in 2019, Mawich has led efforts to professionalize operations, improve market access, and strengthen value addition. With support from a USADF grant in 2020, he enhanced the cooperative’s financial and management systems and expanded its capacity to purchase, store, and process sorghum. He now manages the Zeraf Sorghum Milling Marketing Project, aimed at improving infrastructure, efficiency, and product quality positioning ZMCS as a driver of agricultural development in the region.

GAW TOT DONG

CEO-NILOTIC SHEA ENTERPRISES CO. LTD

GAW TOT DONG is the CEO of Nilotic Shea Enterprises Co. Ltd, a company dedicated to shea butter production and marketing in South Sudan. Formerly known as Kajo Keji Lulu Works Multipurpose Society, the company was renamed and registered in 2019 to improve the livelihoods of 785 smallholder farmers, 760 of whom are women. Under Gaw’s leadership, the company promotes the conservation of Vitellaria paradox nilotic (shea trees) and processes shea nuts into cooking oil, cosmetics, and detergents. With support from USADF, Gaw has expanded operations, introduced modern processing equipment, and enhanced staff capacity to produce high-quality shea-based products.

CEO-DIT-NI-TEK

Pam Bayoch Gatluak Denay is the Founder and CEO of Dit-Ni-Tek General Trading & Investment Co. Ltd, a South Sudanese enterprise addressing community needs through job creation and essential goods. Born in Akobo County, Pam holds a BSc in Public Health from Kea-Med Medical College. In 2024, he launched a soap production initiative to promote hygiene and economic empowerment. Dit-Ni-Tek grew despite financial challenges, thanks to support from the OCIF Program in partnership with Muchinga Partnership, which enabled business expansion and community impact. Pam’s work continues to inspire youth-driven, socially focused entrepreneurship across South Sudan.

KOJI DANIEL

CEO-PIONEER POULTRY FARM

KOJI DANIEL SEVERINO is a dynamic South Sudanese entrepreneur and commercial poultry farmer based in Nimule. With a Diploma in Business Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration in Lusaka, Zambia, he brings a blend of technical expertise and entrepreneurial vision to South Sudan’s agricultural sector.

In 2012, Koji established his poultry farming business with the goal of building a self-sustaining poultry value chain. By 2015, he had successfully mobilized over 150 small-scale farmers in Magwi County to grow and supply raw materials for his feed mill demonstrating his commitment to inclusive growth and rural empowerment. His business model integrates feed production, poultry rearing, and market supply, helping reduce dependency on imported products while creating jobs locally.

Despite challenges during the 2016 conflict, Koji adapted his operations and continued to pursue his long-term vision of expanding into hatchery services, chicken processing, and distribution. His innovative and resilient approach to agribusiness has positioned him as a leader in the poultry sector.

Koji is a proud beneficiary of the Haggar Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI). This support enabled him to scale his business and increase its impact across communities in South Sudan.
