The Foundation for Youth Initiative (FYI), the implementing partner of the Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF) program in South Sudan, hosted an introductory session for Cohort Three of the OCIAC training program.
The session was designed to familiarize participants with FYI’s role in the program and provide an overview of OCIF’s structure in South Sudan. Key discussions included the breakdown of Track 1 and Track 2, an explanation of the selection criteria, and a briefing on next steps and the program timeline.
Adding to the excitement of the event, two representatives from the Cooperative Bank of South Sudan also attended. They highlighted their pivotal role in managing grants and loans, financial tools that will be essential in helping selected entrepreneurs prepare, access working capital, and acquire the necessary equipment. Their presence reinforced the commitment to ensuring young innovators have the support they need to transform their business ideas into reality.
We are excited to see what we will achieve together as this group progresses from the incubation phase to the innovation stage of the program, and we look forward to witnessing the creative solutions and impact they will bring to South Sudan.
