FYI South Sudan

OUR IMPACT

CELEBRATING 14 YEARS OF EMPOWERING CHANGE, BUILDING FUTURES.

For over 14 years, FYI Foundation has been at the forefront of driving sustainable development in South Sudan. Through strategic investments and partnerships, it has empowered communities, promoted entrepreneurship, and fostered economic resilience. In just the last four years, FYI awarded over USD 10 million in grants to 87 social enterprises supporting 35 farmer cooperatives (22,950 members), 39 youth-led startups (2,250 members), and 13 women-led businesses (1,789 members). These efforts have impacted 26,989 households and over 161,934 family members, boosting incomes, creating jobs, and strengthening local economies.

FYI’s work spans agriculture, peace-building, women empowerment, and digital innovation. Partnerships with the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) promote community-led economic growth through agriculture and renewable energy. The Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF), launched with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency in 2024, supports young entrepreneurs with financial access to scale. The Enterprise Development Program with the Haggar Foundation and the Muchinga Partnerships further advance SME growth and youth innovation.

Through these initiatives, FYI is building a more inclusive, self-reliant, and prosperous South Sudan. Its continued commitment to social enterprise development reflects a vision of long-term impact, empowering thousands to shape their futures with dignity and opportunity.
